The automotive semiconductor market is still "flourishing everywhere"

The automotive industry is still struggling to address the semiconductor shortage, which has severely plagued automakers. Analysts predict that despite the chip shortage starting in 2020, demand remains robust and may persist until 2023.

Even if the logistics situation of chip supply improves, there should still be a temporary shift from custom chips to general-purpose semiconductors. Infineon Technologies and Renesas Electronics will recover from the shortage in 2022. STMicroelectronics will run out of stock next year, while NXP semiconductors and Texas Instruments' inventory remains below expectations.
